The magnificent and talented designer Oscar de la Renta was gone at October 2014.
He was one of the amazing person, who was in love with woman silhouette and were dressing up various woman and amazing Hollywood stars on red carpet during the last 50 years.
Now the creative director of Oscar de la Rentas house is Peter Copping. The person, whom Oscar agreed on his position by himself before leaving this world.
Compared to New York Fashion Week, Bridal Fashion Week had started successfully. This Saturday, had happened one of the debuts of Peter Copping who presented the new bridal collection of Oscar De la Renta’s house “Spring 2016”.
Copping said, “I wanted to create dresses for all “different sorts of weddings” – from a more casual beach affair to black-tie, and something to wear post-ceremony and to the rehearsal dinner, too.”
Peter dipped into the archives not only of Oscar de la Renta’s, but also of Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Lacroix.
By the way, everything was “very Oscar” and at the same time “very Peter”.
“I really wanted this collection, in some ways, to be an extension of what I’d done on the runway,” Copping said. “Obviously bridal was a very, very large part of the house and Oscar was incredibly well known for a lot of very high-profile weddings… I just approached it in my own way and I think all the dresses here today look very, very Oscar, as well, and very relevant, but still with the house codes.”
In my opinion, he did the great job. He has chosen soft tissues, as a preference was the pastel colors “white and beige shades”. In the line of a brand were many of lace inkle and macrame, self-coloured pastel ribbons and bows.
Silhouette is followed by Oscars style – mermaid and floor-length dresses. In collection “Spring 2016” was just one dress with purple ribbon, that was the tone of Copping himself – “very Peter”.
In collection was presented 25 wonderful wedding dresses. Enjoy the watching. Do not forget to leave your comments.
